again I won't be using that one (i'm pretty stubborn and I want to try to draw it myself, but if i fail, you will be used xDDD) but as a refferance, it is amazing.
as I've decided I'm making a sitar and chakrams as well, reading your tutorial was a huge time saver and it made my day happier.

although I won't be cosplaying Zexion, Demyx AND Axel, i love their weapons and since I'm basically going to be the prop maker ( xDD why me? xDD ) it's good practice.

Awesome! Applying your own techniques is a great idea. Wanting to do it your own way is fine, I do the same thing. >>; I also only figured out to look for these things AFTER I made mine lol. I'll try checking back because I want to see how you do. I love seeing other peoples props. :3
Ooh, chakrams are also fun to make. What are you going to make the Chakrams and Sitar out of? o: Prop making is fun. Bigass weapons are also quite fun. >D Which I suppose a sitar will be!

Yeah, I find that with my art and stuff as well. xDD I have started 3 cosplays, all in different stages, NONE sewn yet, NONE finished and 1 fully cut out. XD i'm a horrible procrastinator with this stuff so I'm hoping the Lexicon will be the breaker of that. >w< Can't wait till the chakrams are done! I want to spin them around and throw them at my little brother and (hypothetically) set him on fire! xDDD
the sitar I also found a tutorial for and I'll be using the blue foam insulation stuff for, there's alot more required for it like Spackle and stuff.
I'm not sure what to use for the chakrams yet, but I have a feeling they will come before the sitar... the sitar will probably be my spring project because if i don't finish if before school is over I can always work during the summer... (hopefully I'll have a job Dx turning 16 requires me to have money for a car and all that yummy stuff >.> plus cosplay is exspencive D: ) lol can't wait for the making of the bigass weapons maybe i'll try not to do it in a closed space xDD maybe the basement or something. LAWLZ AT MY FAIL! If you have any suggestions, they'd be muchly appreciated! ^^

Hmm, My friend and I made keyblades this summer using the foam, and we used this link for help; [link]
You could probably use that to help with the sitar. We actually didn't use any sealing or anything.. We used latex spray paint which did NOT eat the foam. But you have to sand what you cut out fairly well or it will just run off (our other friend didn't sand his Claymore and all the paint ran off of it.. -___- ). If you want to keep the paint from chipping, just use watered down white glue. It works really well and it's not as expensive as resin and such. :]
Yes, cosplaying is expensive D: so saving is good!
I wish I could have made my own costumes when I was 15. My mom was still doing it until I was 18! XD But making them yourself is really fun.
You could probably finish the Sitar mostly during your break, you just need to do it without procrastinating.
I think that's about it.. BUT If you have more questions when you're sewing and making the actual weapons, feel free to ask me!
